Job Title: R&D Technical Coordinator 

Position Details:

  • 100% onsite at 1900 Garden of the Gods Road; Colorado Springs, CO 80907.
  • Hours/Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM - 40 hours/week.
  • 24-months contract ( Target Start/End Dates: 05/05/2025 - 05/04/2027).

This technician position is located at the base of Pikes Peak - America’s Mountain in beautiful Colorado Springs which is also the home of the Olympic Training Center and U.S. Air Force Academy!  If you enjoy the outdoors, there are plenty of opportunities for hiking, camping, fishing, mountain biking, white water rafting, skiing, snowboarding, golfing, state and national park outings, and more year-round!  Keysight Colorado Springs is also located only 2 miles away from famous Garden of the Gods Park.

About the Team:

The Keysight Colorado Springs NPI Engineering team is multi-disciplinary involving electrical, software, and mechanical activities, working between R&D and Manufacturing to design and implement the manufacturing processes for new products.  We build new product prototypes throughout the R&D cycle to enable product development across a variety of teams.  Finally, we launch the new manufacturing process into the production site to enable manufacturing and shipments of the new products to customers.

Responsibilities:

As an NPI Technician on the team, you will collaborate with NPI Engineers, NPI Technicians, and R&D Engineers to:

  • Work in an Electrical Static Discharge (ESD) controlled environment.
  • Turn on and troubleshoot PCA’s.
  • Build / assemble full instrument prototypes.
  • Calibrate and run automated tests on prototypes.
  • Troubleshoot and repair prototypes.
  • Build, troubleshoot, and maintain test racks containing electronic test and measurement equipment.
  • Execute automated performance characterization tests on prototypes at temperature and humidity and collect characterization data.
  • Help to maintain the NPI Lab environment.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or NPI environment or equivalent.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • General knowledge of electronics and electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience in electronic mechanical assembly including torque drivers.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment.
  • Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical issues effectively.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Higher level education or certifications in electronics.
  • Classroom or work experience using electronic test equipment, specifically Oscilloscopes and Probes.

Pay Transparency:

  • This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position is $29.57/hour - $31.31/hour.
