Job Title: Metrology Tech
Position Details:
- 100% onsite at 1400 Fountain Grove Parkway, Santa Rosa, CA, 95403.
- Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 40 hours/week.
- Approximately 24-months contract (Target Start/End Date: 08/22/2025 - 08/21/2027).
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply measurement science, mathematics, and physics to develop, document, and
- maintain calibration systems, procedures, and methods for electrical, dimensional,
- optical, physical, mechanical and environmental inspection, measurement,
- and test equipment (IM&TE) based on analysis of measurement problems, and accuracy
- and precision requirements
Qualifications:
- Applicant must have a solid understanding Measurement Uncertainty application and calculations, Measurement Guardbanding, and other measurement principles associated with highest level of traceability directly to National Metrology Institute (NMI).
- Knowledge of current quality standards for ANSI/ISO 9001, ANSI/Z540-3, and ISO 17025.
- Direct experience in calibration, adjustments, diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair to the assembly/component level of test and measurement equipment
- A demonstrated rapidly adapt to continuously changing technologies with minimal training
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision and interface effectively with fellow team members, customers and management.
- Requires excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong abilities in use of technical manuals and schematics
- Maintains high workmanship standards and delivers on commitments. Promotes ESD, Service Note compliance, and other programs that are conducive to the delivery of high quality service and minimization of re-repair.
- Strong Computer skills
- Software development or experience with software modification process desired
Software Proficiency: Experience with calibration management software (e.g., VEE, Unix RMB, ETMS/Gemini, Windows Office.) - Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean
- Adheres to the highest standards of business ethics.
Desired skills:
- Direct experience on HP, Agilent, and Keysight instrumentation and automated calibration systems
- PMEL/Metrology background
- Knowledge and previous experience with automated Calibration Systems
Certifications & Education:
- Associate’s degree in Electronics field, Military experience (PMEL) or 5+ years of relevant work experience in calibration and repair of Test measurement equipment. Prior experience is strongly preferred.
- Prior Experience in a Standards
- Laboratory environment highly desired.
- Expert-level position.
Pay Transparency:
- This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position is $23.00/hour - $26.00/hour W-2.
